In July 2025, Pastor James met Dr. Andrew Guuru, founder and lead consultant with Lead Yourself Consult Africa, in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Andrew is a mentor who helps leaders build practical skills that make a lasting difference. He has guided pastors and business leaders to create sustainable businesses. These businesses supply for families, support ministries, and bless communities in meaningful ways. As Pastor James and Dr. Andrew prayed and talked, God made it clear. He was opening a door for the Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship training to come to Botswana. This training will give pastors and local leaders step-by-step tools to grow enterprises that help households and expand God’s kingdom. The idea sparked excitement and hope. It showed that God calls His people to act with faith. He also provides practical ways to turn obedience into results. Every conversation, every prayer, and every plan confirmed that God was leading this initiative. It was not just a program. It was a way to equip leaders to walk in provision. It was a way to serve communities faithfully and see God’s kingdom grow through ordinary people doing faithful work. Preparing for the training required careful planning, prayer, and wisdom. Pastor James and Wendie committed to covering Dr. Andrew’s airfare and all in-country expenses. They found a local church willing to host the training. A skilled chef will prepare meals for all participants. The five-day conference will take place from May 11 to 15, 2026. Only 50 participants can register. The fee is US$40 per person. Yet many will struggle to secure the funds needed to attend. This underscores the importance of careful planning and identifying ways to support those with genuine needs. Every decision reflected a wish to honor God while meeting real needs.
