God Always Provides: Emerging Strength for Lasting Victory
Many pastors in Botswana carry heavy burdens as they serve the Lord while supporting their families. Rural churches often lack the resources to support full-time ministry, even when believers give with sincere hearts. Pastor Dan and his wife, Boi, live this reality every day. God called them to minister in Mabeleapudi, about thirty minutes from their home. Later, they were led to plant a second work in Tshimoyapula, even farther down the road. Both villages stand in deep spiritual darkness, shaped by fear of ancestors, witch doctors, charms, and spells. People responded to the gospel and began to grow in faith. The ministry at Mabeleapudi continued most weeks, but at Tshimoyapula it paused entirely when fuel costs became unsustainable. Dan and Boi have four children, two of whom are under five, and two grandchildren. They tried to supply through small businesses, like goats, vegetables, and broiler chickens. About a year ago, each effort began to fail, and the weight of uncertainty pressed in on every side.
We prayed together and sought a way to strengthen both the family and the ministry. We spent an entire month serving alongside them in the Mabeleapudi. Only two small evangelical churches minister to about 2,500 people in that village. Pastor James preached and encouraged the believers, while Wendie taught the children and shared food and joy. That time restored vision and renewed strength. We then stepped out in faith. We advanced them funds to start a new cycle of 150 chickens. This included vaccines, bedding, water containers, and enough feed to reach maturity. Challenges came quickly through losses, theft, and hard lessons about better breeds and timing. Still, Dan and Boi refused to give up. Within a few months, the chicken sales paid for weekly travel to Mabeleapudi. They even covered a New Year’s Eve service. They now look ahead with hope. They plan to grow the business and increase capacity. They want to move to a larger plot and return to ministry in Tshimoyapula. We continue to walk with them through encouragement, prayer, and practical guidance for lasting stability.

God gives them strength and
hope in every challenge.
God works through faithful perseverance. The Lord often shapes His children through seasons that stretch faith and reveal our deep dependence on Him. Faith does not deny hardship, nor does it pretend the struggle feels easy. Faith chooses trust when answers delay, and strength feels thin. Psalm 34:10 reminds us, “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” When life feels uncertain and resources seem scarce, God remains attentive to your every need. He provides in ways that exceed understanding, often through small, faithful steps that build endurance, wisdom, and character. Those who seek Him can rest in the certainty that His grace will supply. His timing will be perfect. His presence will never leave them. Even in the hardest seasons, God’s provision proves faithful, and His sustaining love strengthens every step of the journey.
