God Ignites Faith: Renewed Hope for the Weary Soul
For the past two years, we have invested deeply in training pastors and ministry leaders in Serowe. We have prayed that this work would spread into other villages through faithful leaders. The vision began to expand because of one pastor who has been faithful to attend the training. This pastor ministers in Thabala, a village about thirty-five minutes northwest of Serowe. He is highly respected by all the pastors of Thabala. This village has many churches, yet many of its leaders have not clearly understood the Gospel. This lack of truth has kept pastors and church members in spiritual bondage. Many have mixed faith in Christ with fear and old practices. Some have tried to hold both truth and tradition at the same time. Still, God stirred a deep hunger in their hearts for His Word. Through this one pastor, we connected with more than thirty pastors. They desired God’s truth that brings true freedom. They did not want a religion that binds the soul. They wanted to know what God truly says and how to live it each day.
We gathered with these pastors over 2 full days of teaching on the Doctrine of Salvation. We made Bibles available at very low prices so those without one have God’s Word in their own hands. We opened our Bibles and encountered God’s living Word. Pastor James taught clearly that true freedom comes only through trusting in Jesus Christ alone. He showed that adding anything to Christ reveals a divided heart. He spoke about trusting in ancestors, charms, or other things that compete with Christ. He pointed them to the truth of Scripture again and again with patience and clarity. The pastors listened with open hearts and great eagerness to learn. Many said they now understood the Gospel better and felt ready to preach it with boldness, clarity, and conviction. They expressed joy as truth became clear in their hearts. One pastor shared that she had not trusted in Jesus alone before. God changed her heart through the teaching. She said she would return to her church and preach the true Gospel with courage and strong conviction.

The pastors of Thabala, with their faces glowing with overwhelming joy, are celebrating with Sister Wendie.
Their delight reflects lives being transformed as they embrace God’s Word and step boldly into ministry.
God strengthens hearts to inspire the weary. Each believer has a divine assignment to do every day. We are to warn those who drift, lift up the weak, and help those who struggle or feel stuck. We are to do this faithfully, obeying God over a long period of time, even when it is difficult. It takes love, patience, and steady faith. We must not stay silent when truth is needed, and we must stay watchful when people need care. God uses simple acts of obedience to ignite faith and bring hope. His Word guides every step as we serve. “And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all” 1 Thessalonians 5:14. When we follow this call, God strengthens the weak, gives courage to the fainthearted, and brings lasting change. Faithful, loving service shines His light and points every soul to the hope found only in Jesus. Christians will be rewarded for their faithfulness in completing their divine assignments.
