God Strengthens Faith: Breakthrough Strength for Every Challenge and Trial
Mountain of God Worship Center in Mahalapye continues to move through a rich season of growth, courage, and deepening purpose. Our relationship with them goes back more than eight years. It began when Pastor David Molapisi sat under Pastor James’ teaching at the Baptist Convention Seminary. It continued through many years of shared ministry. The fellowship became even stronger when we moved to Serowe five years ago. Mahalapye is just ninety minutes to the south. It feels more like an extension of home than a distant place. Pastor James has preached there many times over the years. Sister Wendie has invested in their children’s ministry through training and resources. Together, we have helped them place many low-cost Bibles into the hands of believers who needed them. All of this filled our hearts with joy. At the beginning of November, we learned they had launched a new church plant in Pallaroad. This small and remote village rarely receives focused gospel ministry. It felt like watching the Lord stretch their faith into new territory.
Pastor David invited us to preach at the new plant on Sunday morning. We agreed, as we were already in Pallaroad attending a dear friend’s wedding. We sensed the Holy Spirit’s timing instantly. We accepted without hesitation because the invitation carried the sweetness of divine leading. The gathering on Sunday morning was small. Six adults and three children were seated in a simple space. This space ushered in the warmth of God’s presence. Pastor James preached from 1 Peter 4:1-6. He poured out the same intensity, preparation, and conviction as he would in a sanctuary filled with a hundred people. Pastor James urged them to be steadfast with the mind of Christ. Their community questions their choices. It will try to draw them back into old patterns. King Jesus has already set them free from these. Wendie encouraged their children’s ministry efforts and affirmed their courage as a young church stepping into their calling. The Lord strengthened their faith. He provided us with more than 400 evangelism tracts. This increased the church’s outreach to the community with the gospel. We left with grateful hearts, aware that the Lord Himself was nurturing something beautiful in that village.

Celebrating marriage of our beloved friend at Pallaroad.
We stand together in the joy of God’s work. We are reminded that every act of faith, no matter how small, has an eternal impact. His strength sustains us, His love guides us, and His Spirit empowers us to serve. Together, we celebrate the victories He is already shaping in hearts and lives.
God strengthens faith in times of significant challenges. He does this to reveal to His children that His work grows deepest during times of pressure. This pushes us to rely solely on Him. Trials reveal what we depend on. They turn our eyes back to the One who holds us steady when life grows heavy. During seasons of hardship, God purifies believers’ trust. He deepens their obedience. He anchors their hope in Christ. Scripture speaks to this clearly in First Peter 1:6-7. It says, “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials. These trials test the genuineness of your faith. Your faith is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire. It result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” This truth reminds us that God never wastes our struggles. He uses every trial to strengthen our faith and shape our lives for His glory.
